As business is advancing each and every day, hence the way of doing business 50 years back is very much different from the way of doing business today and therefore may be there are various challenges experienced previously are no more experienced today but there are other challenges as well. The challenges that managers today might experience while motivating employees are:
1. Lack of challenging Work has been a major concern today because most of the work that we do today are mid intelligence level job which provides less scope to exercise our skills and ideas and therefore even the managers are aware of the same and face challenges.
2. Lack of Confidence in the company which was not there previously because today organizations are solely professional and they will not compromise business and revenue at cost and therefore there have been instances of heavy layoffs when the organization did not do well so it is difficult to motivate employees regarding job security.
3. Attention on a personal basis to employees are actually difficult in today's world of doing business because the work force has increased and the teams are given priority. If an employee needs to get attention then the person has to perform exceptionally on a personal basis that will help the person achieve the goals and objectives.
