write a summary on Liquids and Solids
Liquids - In nature basically three states of matter are present in which liquid is one of the state of matter. Liquids have intermediate force of attraction between it's particles i.e less than solid and more than gases hence the shape of the liquid is not fixed but it's volume is fixed. Liquids acquire the shape of the container. The intermolecular space is more in liquids as compared to solids that is why the are used as solvent. On applying pressure and lowering temperature liquids are changed to solid and increasing temperature and lowering pressure it changes to Gasesous state.
Solids - It is one of the state of matter which has highest degree of intermolecular force of attraction between it's particles which binds it's particles so close that solids almost have negligible intermolecular distance between it's particles , these properties make the lattice solid. Solid States has fixed shape and volume.
