What are the four kinds of pages which the bow-tie theory is comprised of? Please explain in deatil each of them. Provide a detailed example of each type of page.
The bow tie theory is comprised of four pages namely:
Core pages- 30% of the web is comprised of these type of pages. They are in linked to and linked from format on the web. Most commenly used websites have number of pages in this group.
Origination pages- These comprise of 24% of the web and have many pages into the core and some pages from the core. They are of a less quality and new also hence they dont tend to attract the links back to make them a part of the core.
Destination pages- These are again 24% pages of the web that are linked from the core but not linked into the core themselves. They are used by corperate websites and hence used to link internally more than externally. They are of high quality too.
Disconnected pages- These are the 22% that are not directly connected to the core and have links to origination or destination pages or also be linked to other disconnected pages. They are neither linked from nor to the core.
