Explain the condition of the damaged motor of the vacuum cleaner

There are two common types of vaccum cleaners.One is upright and second one is canister.The upright vaccum cleaner has the motor and beater bar in the same unit.The canister vaccum cleaner has the motor and storage bag in the canister and the beater bar in separately, with the two units connected by a house.

The condition of damaged motor of the vaccum cleaner is :

Generally the vaccum cleaners are designed for a long life.The life of the cleaner much depends on the quality of the motor using in the vaccum cleaner.If the motor is damaged or the vaccum cleaner suddenly stops working ,we have to check pwer cord , the fan for jams and the on or off switch.if you find that the motor is deffective then first we have to test  the motor brushes with a continuity tester or with a multimeter.Then turn the motor shaft or beater bar by hand, the motor should maintain continuity.If not, replace the brushes of the motor.If the cleaner is still not working then you have to repalce the total vaccum cleaner.
