Lets first understand about discrimination. It can be defined as the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or one can say discrimination as recognition and understanding the differences. Discrimination can be categorized as Direct discrimination, Indirect discrimination,Harassment, Victimisation.
systematic discrimination is said to include pattern or practice policy, or class case where the asserted discrimination has a wide influence on an industry, profession, company or geographic area or if we define it in a proper way then Systemic discrimination also said as institutional discrimination is said as patterns of behavior, policies or practices that are part of the structures of an organization, and which create or perpetuate disadvantage.Systematic discrimination is not apparent at first sight but is actually systematic in its application of policies and practices.It can happen on the basis of race, sex, ethnicity, sexual preferences or orientation, ability and physical shape. This discriminatio occurs in a form of pattern hence there are wyas to stop it like considering a workplace audit which includes employee handbook,other work place policies or the HR practices.The identification, investigation and litigation of systemic discrimination cases, along with efforts to educate employers and encourage prevention and happens over a long period of time.For example, when a Women is disqualified from entering into male-dominated field or in other words we can state exclusion of qualified women from traditionally male-dominated fields of work, Age discrimination ,consistently offering lower wages to women than to men ,etc.Systemtic discrimination is said to has greatest effect on the ability of the organization to perform its role or to meet the demands of relevant legislation.
