Imagism was an early twertieth century peotric movement thet emphasized on clearly , as well as direct language . it was considered a reaction to the tradition of Romantic and Victorian poetry , which could emphasized florid ornamentation of language . Here language could be symbolic and allegorical , yet it also had to be succinct , If the essence ofan object , setting , or cultural movements could be reduced to a few words , then as a versus of Imagist poetry required only those few words and nothing more .
