•Initiative: In political science , an initiative (otherwise called a well known or residents' initiative) is a methods by which a request marked by a specific least number of enrolled voters can drive a legislature to decide to either sanction a law or hold an open vote in parliament in what is called indirect initiative, or under direct initiative, the recommendation is promptly put to a plebiscite or referendum, in what is known as a Popular started Referendum or resident started referendum.

•Referendum: A mandatory referendum subjects the enactment drafted by political elites to a coupling well known vote. A mainstream referendum enables residents to make a request that calls existing enactment to a vote by the residents.

•Recall: A recall election (additionally called a recall referendum or agent recall) is a technique by which, in specific nations, voters can expel a chosen authority from office through a direct vote before that official's term has finished.

•In California, a polling form suggestion can be a referendum or an initiative measure that is submitted to the electorate for a direct choice or direct vote (or plebiscite). The state lawmaking body can put a state protected revision or a proposed law change on the voting form as a referendum to be endorsed by voters.
