Be as detailed as possible, explain its' origin and the theory behind its' use. Could the PCORI be used in an integrated health system? Why or Why not? Provide more than one source to back your argument.
PCORI is the body of the individuals that help the people in making right and informed decisions for their health care problems.
They answer the queries raised by the people regarding their problems, doubts regarding option and a suggestion how to deal with it. They evaluate the disease, its treatment, harm and side effects and then suggest. Its focus is the outcome that will emerge from the treatment.
This body is created as a modification to social security act which is government organization. Its main purpose is to streamline the various ways of best medical treatments. This is funded by Government arrangement in fund account.
Yes, PCORI can be used as integrated health care system if powered with necessary funds and guidelines required by it. They are focussing on both physical and behavioural health of the patients. But still the researchers are finding out the outcomes that can be served and make the PCORI as an integrated unit of health care system.
So therefore, while PCORI have the capability to be integrated health system, it is still suffering to be a complete one. It still need proper guidance for support and funding. Government needs to check and audit the records and assist them in implementing their objectives.
