Facilities management within an organizational structure, is a support service, contributing to the effective and efficient delivery of its strategic and operational goals while providing a safe and comfortable work environment on a day-to-day manner.
A good workplace helps making people feel better, energised, productive and enthusiastic and ultimately leading to organizational success and easy goal attainment.
whereas in contrast, a poor working condition can be frustrating, inhibiting of productivity, stressful and even it may be sick-inducing to the employees.
Within a small organization, facilities management generally exists as a part of a secretary’s or manager’s role. As the business grows, It usually develops into a separate job role. But there comes a time when many organisations seek to outsource their facilities management to external experts.
The workplace is also a physical manifestation of an organization, brand, and many organisations use it to recruit and maintain both staff and clients. This leads to the increased business or brand acceptance among the end consumers.
