Question 2: What is the ionic character of NaCl? What kind of bond is it and why?
Induced dipole: A permant dipole molecule(eg. HF ) reple the another molecules electrons. Induced dipole is the interaction not a bond form.
Ionic : It is a type of bond. The bond formed between the positively charge ions and negatively charge ion is called ionic bond.
Hydrogen bonding :The stronge bond form between the hydrogen atom and highly electronegative atom. eg H-F,
H-O etc.
Polar covalent : This type of bond is formed when there is unequal sharing of electron pair between two ions.
Covalent : A chemical bond that involes sharing of electrons between two atoms. It is type of bond.
Metallic : It is chemical bonding involves force of attraction between valence electron and metal atom.
Non polar covalent : a type of chemical bonding involves, two atoms share a pair of electrons equally with each other.
Vander waals : Attraction of intermolecular forces between molecule. It is type of interaction .
Permanat dipole :These occurs when two atoms in molecules have different electronegativity; one atoms having posive charge and other having negative charge.
