College has not been easy for you, but you made it through this far and should be proud of yourself. Over the course of your college education, you more than likely faced several life factors that played a role in the grades you received. In other words, what activities did you spend a lot of time doing away from class and studying, like working, family, video games, partying, etc.
In a one (1) page, double-spaced Word document, with margins set at 1" all around, discuss some of those activities and in particular, choose one that you spent more time doing than any other. Now, consider the time, in hours per week, spent enjoying your most favorite activity and compare it to the time, in hours per week, you spent studying for this course. Finally, look at your current grade for this course. Describe the correlation between your favorite activity and your grade for this course? If you were to graph it, what would it look like? What could you do to change it without jeopardizing fun activities? Finally, do you believe there is a correlation between a high GPA and a good paying job? Why or why not?
This semester, there was a inter-college music competition scheduled to be held by the end of fall. I, being the lead singer of the college band, was trying my best to succeed in this competition. Most of my time of this month was spent in practicing with the band. One of our team members had broke his guitar. So, we thought that we will dutch the money to buy him a guitar. However, we were falling short of money. So, we started singing in a local café, every Tuesday and Friday to earn some extra cash. Due to these reasons, I was not able to give sufficient time for the preparation of this course.
I could have made a weekly target of hours spent on the course so that my performance in the subject was not impacted. This way, I could have efficiently managed both academics as well as my music.
I do not feel that there is a correlation between high GPA and good paying job. Good paying job depends on a number of variants like personality, analytical skills, communication skills, etc. apart from academic performance.
