Why have internationally operating criminal groups becoming an increased threat to both human and state security?
The society is made-up of people who agree on certain values and norms thus living in harmony. The problem began when people started moving out of their place in search of various resources and started exploiting people living in those places. Divisions based on religions, race, ethnic, class and caste has contributed further for this conflict. During those days of exploration, stealing, killing, enslaving people through advanced weapons were considered to be the act of valor which in today’s society is considered as terrorism.
So, this suppression gave way to lots of movements who tried to attain their freedom and rights through talking but when their attempts failed, they started to take weapons to fight. Who will they fight? Of course governments. But today, international terrorism is one important aspect that threaten the mere existence of the society itself. Sometimes, these acts are sponsored and the terrorists are protected by few governments.
Today, we have many international terrorist groups operating from different countries and the international community is at a great risk as they are ruthless, violent and merciless militants who kill from infants to aged people. They don’t care about anyone. The biggest problem here is that they are ready to die for their ideologies they fight for. Few examples are, ISIS, Boko Haram. Killing innocent people will not be accepted in any way to achieve their goals.
The international community is joining hands together in the fight against terrorism but developed countries should stop exploiting the developing and underdeveloped countries.
