Self awareness involves being aware of different aspects of the self including traits behavior and feelings. When we speak of self awareness is recognizing oneself in the mirror. Self awareness is important because when we have a better understanding of ourselves our unique and separate individuals. we are empowered to make changes and to build on our area of strength as well as identifying areas where we would like to make improvements. Self awareness is also where we have self emotions.
The plans and strategies we have to improve the self awareness in students are of different ways,. the best plans can be
1. Keep a record of yourself that is we should be able to write down our own changes and behavior because we can be aware of the good and bad things we are doing. Rectifying our own mistakes and being conscious about is what we call self awareness.
2. Develop the habit of listening which will help you to change in our personal traits and behaviors. listening to motivational stories and inspirational stories.
3. We should make time for ourselves, happiness come when we are alone and start enjoying ourselves.
4. we should be able to practice mindfulness, by meditation and be conscious of everything we are doing.
Defense Mechanism is behavior of person who use to separate themselves from unpleasant events, actions or thoughts. these psychological strategies may help people to have distance between themselves and threats or unwanted feelings such as guilt or shame
the two Defence Mechanism used are Displacement and Denial
Displacement is showing direct strong emotions and frustration towards a person or object that doesn't feel threatened. for example , if a employee gets scolding from the boss, the emotions are carried and shown towards their children which the emotions are Displacemed.
Denial is when you refuse to accept the reality or facts you block external events or circumstances from your mind so that you don't have to deal with the emotional impact in other words you avoid the painful feelings and events.
