Feminism is a movement for the e empowerment and rights of the women. It is a blessing for development of the society. A community can never advance if the women of the community are forcefully kept in confinement. The development of a society largely depends on the development of the women. The European civilizations probe this. The Asian and Arabian civilizations are backward because women are victims of many religious prejudices there.

The first phase of the feminist movement started in Europe. The demand of the women were equal rights everywhere. The first movement faced many troubles but succeeded and gradually it spread in the whole world. In the first half of the 20th century feminist movement spread the whole world.

The right of women is now specially considered in the constitution of a state. Women show their efficiency in various fields. The development of the women can offer a nation a good and ideal generation. The future generation must be good because of educated and empowered mother. In the patriarchal society women are victim of many injustices. The feminism has made it possible to stop such injustice like dowry, wife-killing, girl-child marriage etc. Today rape is under control. The rapists get severe punishment.

It is our pride that our mothers, sisters and wife are conscious citizen. They can perform many duties and they are independent now. Today a woman can be easily independent. Though many unwanted incidents and injustice still take place against them, we think that in near future they role of women in the society will be more significant.
