  1. To put in simple words Feminism is a movement to end sexism, sexist exploitation and oppression. Reformist Feminism or Liberal Feminism is an individualistic form of feminism theory which primarily focuses on women’s ability to show and maintain their equality through their own actions and choices. Revolutionary Feminism is a product of British School of feminism. The concept of Revolutionary Feminism was first introduced by Sheila Jeffreys. The aims of revolutionary feminism include overturning current political and economic systems and instituting systems entirely free of hierarchy. The goal of revolutionary feminism is a world where everyone is truly treated as equals.
  2. Conscious rising is also known as awareness raising. It is a form of feminist activism which was gained popularity in America during late 1960’s. It often takes the form of a group of people attempting to focus the attention of a wider group of people on some cause or condition.
  3. Patriarchy is a form of social system in which the father or the eldest male is the head of the family and descent is reckoned through the male line.
  4. The term Internalized Sexism refers to the form of sexism that occurs on an individual level. Internalized sexism is occurred when an individual enacts sexist actions and attitudes towards themselves and people of their own sex.
