What resource did William J. Levitt provide for GI's returning from World War II? How does this resource change the face of America?
William J. Levitt was an real estate developer in American from 1907 to 1994. During world war II he served in navy , when he returned back from war he could see how people are suffering from not having a proper place or home to live with family so he came up with an idea of mass production of housing to help the veterans of war. He constructed a strong planning and procedure to give people a more affordable, in-expensive, and a single unit housing , which made a great change in people view of buying a own house for living. Levitt studied each and every piece of construction working and even studied about "how to give proper salaries to workers". He slowly started to become an expert in mass construction.
Levitt created a great change in america because people who never once thought about buying a house was made possible by him and his brother . They worked with an effort to serve people with good quality living in their own house and also they slowly start to become a pioneer in the field of construction.
