4. please take a look at the attached video where an ABC News anchor grills BP's COO for exploration and production, Doug Suttles. This is a very good example of why you need to prepare your spokesperson for the tough questions so he/she can speak to your Crisis Action Plan. How do you think Mr. Suttles did? https://youtu.be/TEMNnHqMQlw

Expert Solution

Doug Suttles did very well to answer all the questions asked by the ABC News Anchor. I can say that he did really well because he had the right answers to all the questions asked by her except for the number of gallons of oil that is getting leaked per day. A large corporation like BP should be able to estimate the number exactly and give to the media. It can also be observed that the company does not want to give an exact number and play safe. This is a good strategy as well for the company and Doug did really well to talk about the measures they have taken to solve the problem. He also made sure that the company is using all the resources and the strategy available to fix the problem as soon as possible. He also answered the possible question from the government and gave a convincing statement that the company is doing its best to take care of the situation. So Mr. Suttles did a good job by handling all the questions in a good way without harming the company image.
