Technology Based Training Take a look into the future by viewing Ahmed El-Eraky's video, "A Day Made of Glass," at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OptqxagZDfM. Although traditional face-to-face training is still our predominate delivery method according to the research, we are seeing a continued increase in the use of electronic systems to deliver training. Which technologies should a new T & D professional learn now to be ready to meet training demands in 10 to 20 years? |

This video shows extreme usage of technology and it is focussing only on advantages. I don't think so that things would be that extreme wafter 10 - 20 years. People would like to meet each other in person rather than through digital technology. Conducting atrining face to face creates more impact it helps in understnding employees more better than digital technology. Digital or gass technology would be useful for quicker, or distant communition. But there would also be some flaws associated such glass break, no network etc. I guess T & D would train people to handle this glass and steps to be taken if the glass doesn't works. These days people are using technologies like skype or any other user interface such as video conferencing etc. After 10-12 years it would be more widely used as said in the video. But people learn techonology very fast hence I guess T & D would not be much involved into all these things.
