Lateral shuffle also known as the Side Shuffle or Sideways Shuffle The lateral shuffle works your legs and glutes while giving you a great cardio workout by getting your heart rate up. The unique benefits this provides is that you use your outer and inner thighs to move. The movement pattern as follows

  1. Start standing with feet hip distance apart and sink into a deep knee bend. Bring both hands in front of the chest in guard position.
  2. Take a lateral step to the right with your right foot.
  3. Carry your left foot to where your right was
  4. As your left foot comes down again move your right foot further right
  5. Continue to carry your left foot over to where your right foot was
  6. Continue shuffling right left for the desired amount of time.

Keep your core engaged the whole time and make sure your chest stays lifted. This will help you maintain proper form. Make sure your knees are bent and dont cross over feet.
