= P[(45 - 44) / 1.54 < ( - ) / < (46 - 44) / 1.54)]

= P( 0.65 < Z < 1.30)

= P(Z < 1.30) - P(Z < 0.65)

Using z table,  

= 0.9032 - 0.7422

= 0.1610

Given that,

c) Using standard normal table,

P(Z < z) = 38%

= P(Z < z ) = 0.38

= P(Z < z ) = 0.38  

z = - 0.31

Using z-score formula  

= z * +   

= - 0.31 * 1.54 + 44

= 43.52
