a. the liver
b lipoproteins
c adipose cells
d. arterial sclerotic plaque

why does the level of FSH increases ans remain high during thr menopause stage?
a. increase in follicle number
b.LH production
c.estrogen production
d. GnRh production

Solutions

Expert Solution

Question 1:-

VLDL contains greatest amount of triglycerides. Chylomicrons are the lipoprotein (ultra low density lipoprotein) which contains greatest amount of triglycerides. Next to that VLDL contains highest amount of triglycerides. VLDL is the bad cholesterol.

HDL contains protein which is good cholesterol.

LDL conversing contains least amount of triglycerides and much amount of cholesterol esters.

So that answer is VLDL

Question 2:-

Lipoprotein lipase is an extracellular enzyme on the vascular endothelial surface that degrades triglycerides of lipoprotein in the blood stream.

Answer is b. Lipoproteins

Question 3:-

FSH stimulates ovarian follicles to enlarge and produce estrogen. As the women ages, fewer and fewer follicles remains which is to be stimulated and produce less amount of estrogen. This decline in estrogen stimulates to produce high levels of FSH to increase estrogen production.

Answer is C. Estrogen production

Suppose the High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels of 20 subjects were measured before and after the treatment. We want to find out if, in general, the treatment will lead to improvements of health, i.e., increasing the HDL cholesterol level. The mean and standard deviation of the difference are 2.05, 2.837, respectively. We assume the differences follow normal. Use ? =0.05.
