Think about a healthcare organization. Discuss the three biggest factors that may restrain or resist change. What would have to change in the culture of the organization in order to get past these factors, and why?

one of the most growing sector in most of the nations is healthcare sector- similarly carrying many problems to the firms in this sector. the major problems are:

  • shortage of talented people in this sector: skilled and talented manpower is the fuel to healthcare sector. The skilled people introduce innovative practices at the organization level and offer quality services to the patients by minimizing wastages. But due to the shortage of skilled people, it is not turn into reality to the firms and following the traditional practices only.
  • managing the load: some times the patients may join in high number and some time in low number. there is no consistency or a particular demanding process for these services. It is difficult to the management and introduce new policies to the firm. If the level of patients is lesser than our estimation, it will be resulted as loss, hence the management feared about introducing new practices.
  • increasing costs and technology: in the modern times, every thing is changing its form sharply and quickly. whatever we said new today, becoming older for tomorrow. the new practices may introduce today may not provide the similar kind of benefits on tomorrow.
  • the fear of manpower and employees in the organization: most of the firms including hospitals minimizing costs on manpower and replacing with artificial intelligence system. It causes to lose the employment of unskilled people in hospitals. If new practices were accepted, the result may be lose the jobs by the people

the management and organization should establish good working culture in the organization, which made the employees to thrust for change and innovative practices. the management should take correct steps to encourage employees towards and this and provide many incentives for this. otherwise, the organizations may carry activities in old styles and lose their competitive edge in the market.
