During Phase 1, each individual will submit their own idea for an innovation along with a model they find useful for evaluating its merits. Each team member is responsible for completing research on various models. While there are several models in circulation for evaluating innovations, such as The Lean StartUp Plan, NOMMAR, SNIFF, and the linear and mental models of innovation, innovators should not feel constrained by any particular model. Feel free to borrow elements from multiple models to develop one that would work best to most effectively evaluate your own innovation.

In today’s world, where we are very close to an age where we might face situation where there is drastic scarcity of drinking water due to which human race can reach to verge of extinction. In order to avoid such situation in future here I present an innovative idea of preparing drinking water from atmospheric water vapor. A technology can be developed which would make it possible for people to convert water vapor to drinking water which can avoid this situation of water crisis hence contribute towards protection of human race.

The name of the model developed to evaluate this idea o of innovation-ATMOSPHERE VAPORS TO DRINKING WATER CONVERTOR is IDEAFIRST which has following steps of working-

IDEA – This phase deals with development of idea. In this stage we only thing or imagine an idea which we need or want to develop in future using various resources available at our disposal.
FEASABILITY STUDY- In this step we will see and check that whether the idea upon which we are planning to develop is actually feasible or not. In other words we check that whether the idea of our innovation is actually possible to develop and actually convertible to physical form. This can be done by evaluating the resources available to us for development of our plan and by creating a plan of action and checking its feasibility.
CUSTOMER NEED- Whatever plan we are going to develop it will be developed only to cater the needs of some customer or our plan will be successful only if it finds some customer to whom it can be sold or it should prove to be useful for someone who will utilize its services that is fulfill his needs. So should develop an idea after carefully understanding needs and demands of a customer and the idea developed should be such that it is able to fulfill all the needs and demands of customer or should be able to find customers for it.
POTENTIAL MARKET- We should check past innovation in that field in which we are planning to develop our idea and do some customer interactions with customers of that past idea and of our idea as well. We should realistically assess resistance if any. Potential customers, related markets and leading industries should be found and researched properly.
DESIGN- After accessing the customer needs and potential market, we should create a blueprint of our plan as to how our physical avatar look and work.
PROTOTYPE- Create a prototype or a dummy model or miniature model of our actual plan so that it can be shown to the customer and any changes can be done to it according to customer feedback after the customer has evaluated tour prototype. Till the time customer is not fully satisfied we will not move to next stage. We will keep on making changes to our prototype according to customer’s requirements.
IMPLEMENT- After our customer is fully satisfied by our prototype it is converted to actual form using our plan of action and resources available to our disposal.
TEST- In this phase testing of our model is done by creating test cases and removing all the bugs. In this phase, it is to be checked that whether all the requirements of customer are included in it or not.
This is how this model will work. Now applying it to our idea of innovation of converting atmospheric vapor to drinking water-

IDEA- Idea is to create a technology that can convert atmospheric vapor to drinking water.
FEASABILITY STUDY- This idea is very much feasible and researches are already going on in this direction.
CUSTOMER NEED-This plan will be able to fulfill one of the most basic and ost important need of human race that is drinking water which is of at most importance to whole human race.
POTENTIAL MARKET- Whole human race and every living creature on this planet earth is a potential customer of this technology since none of us can survive without drinking water.
DESIGN- Researches are being done in this field.
IMPLEMENT- Researches are being done in this field and efforts are being made to implement it.
TEST- Once implementation phase is over it will be tested to see if it is properly working or not and whether it is able to fulfill its task.
