Name and describe in detail the four disciplines of Anthropology. How do they interrelate and intertwine to possibly give us the complete story of any given human being, his society, and its culture? What is Applied Anthropology and how does it play a vital role in general Anthropology? ( 150 Words)

• Biological Anthropology deals with the evolution of the human body, mind and behavior as inferred through study of fossils and comparisons with behavior and anatomy of other primate species.
• Cultural Anthropology explores the diversity of existing human ways of life, how they work, how they change, and how they interrelate in the modern world.
• Linguistic Anthropology examines the structure and diversity of language and related human communication systems.
• Each concerns itself with the study of human culture and evolution using different subject materials and different methodologies. Subjects may over lap.
• Applied Anthropology refers to the application of anthropological data, perspectives, theory, and
  methods to identify, assess, and solve social problems. It is any kind of anthropological research that is done to solve practical problems. This means that there are stakeholders and clients who stand to gain or lose from the project.What unites applied anthropologists is their perspective on the world. They are trained to look at societies holistically, to respect cultural differences, and to learn about social phenomena through a careful process of observation and interviewing. General anthropology is just a science human beings and applied anthropoplogy helps to understand this science through various methods and assessments. General anthropology provides a theoretical base which help applied anthropologists to assess it and make perspectives to solve social problems. Appilied helps to apply general principles in the real setting.
