Use gamesmanship and sportsmanship to illustrate how ethics in sport goes beyond merely following the rules.
Ethics can be defined as the moral principles that govern a person's behaviour or the conducting of an activity. It is essential in all walksof life whether arts or sports or any other profession. As every situations ethics in sports should not be considered as the merely following the rules .For Example in gamemanship the ethics of the game most of the time gets twisted to reach the victory stand .in other words gaining or winning is considered as the ultimate aim.We have observed this is many matches where the final word about the accuracy is declared by a third person like Ampere or Referry. For winning a game sometimes the opposite team member is trapped to fall in football match isan example. Here theaim like of winning is uncovered.Final result is what they aim at.
Sportsmanship is a word which is more related to ethics than gamesmanship. It is considered as something which is built on ethics or values. It gives the idea to promote a better social relationship between the teams or team members. In sportsmanship mutual respect can be seen. The better way of participating in an event or game is learnt. It is based on the pillarsof humanity, responsibility, cooperation and patience which are the ultimate points in the moral principles to be followed while conducting an activity.
