The term perversion has been used refer sexual abnormality. Freud tried to establish a connection between perversion and adult aberrations in his "Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality". Freud stated that all humans are innately pervert and sadomy, pedophilia, exhibitionism, fetishism, sadism and mesochism are different forms of it. Freud considered perversion in childhood as normal which has been criticized by many paychologists. According to freud, sexual domination and other forms of sexual behaviour are adult forms of perversion.
According to Jerome Neu, arguing the existenence of infantile sexuality while discussing adult perversion was Freud's way to extend the concept of sexuality. Freud in his essays has tried to show that the ways of adult perversion is grossly routed in infantile sexuality. Childhood sexual aberration and adult perversion branch out of the same comlexities such as oedipal complex and electra complex. The infantile sexuality provides a base which in puberty results in opposite sex attraction and this teenage attarction cause adults to involve in mature sexual behaviour. Sexuality is not limited to only heterosexual adult couples because there are other forms of perversions which are recognized as sexual in nature.
