Write a persuasive speech on whether online or face to face learning/education is better for students

Dear audience, now I am going to to discuss with you the merits and demerits of face to face learning and online learning. In the present scenario it appears that all the educational institutions are closed due to covid-19. All the students are at home and they are detached from the institutions. in such a situation the online learning system has been introduced as alternative way to teach the students. Now we have to discuss what learning system is more effective whether it is online learning system or it is face to face learning system.

In the face-to-face learning system the students are attached with various activities directly. Teachers can engage the students with various activities and it quickens their learning. At the same time the teacher can see all the students and the students are more disciplined and they are careful to finish the activities. Naturally the learning procedure is more easy here. But in the online education system such activities can not be possible. The teacher cannot control the students and cannot persuade the students to finish the activities in the given time.

According to the conditioning theory, students are provided different types of stimuli and reinforcement for learning. They need motivation and such motivation helps them for effective learning. The organism makes certain response to certain stimuli. There are natural stimuli and artificial stimuli. All the stimuli help the students to learn in the effective way. Only in the face to face learning system such conditioning can be formed. On the other hand in the online system such conditioning can never be created. So the students suffer from the lack of motivation.

In the face to face learning system the students learn group behaviour and cooperation. They develop ba sense of fellow feeling. They like to follow the friends and group learning facility is available there. But in the online system of learning such cooperation and group behaviour cannot be formed in the children.

Besides school is a miniature form of society. Children goes to school for socialization and it is an important part of learning. They are introduced with various types of culture and they become free from narrowness. their language development and sense of humour and social interaction also develop. But in the online learning system such development can never be possible.

Naturally it is clear that online learning system can never be an alternative system of the face to face learning. But in the present scenario there is no alternative way except online learning system. It is not the substitute of the direct learning system sitting in the classroom. But the students now are not completely detached from the education and the institution ,the teachers and friends. It is partially fulfilling the desire and demand of the students.
