How do regulatory enzymes, secondary messengers, and major hormones influence the process of lipolysis?
What other various methods does white adipose tissue exert influence on metabolic and pathophysiological processes?
Two hormone stimulate the lipolysis one is glucagon and second is catecholamines.
Catecholamines bind to g protein coupled receptor which then activates adenylate cyclase which then produced cyclic AMP which then activates the protein kinase A which phosphorylates various hormone sensitive lipase and perilipin a Which cleaves the lipids.
Glucagon also do similarly.
Insulin show opposite effects as glucagon a and epinephrine.
Insulin bind to tyrosine kinase receptor which has intrinsic kinase. Domain . Which phosphorylates it's tyrosine residues which then dock many. Adaptor protein like GRB and many other protein attached with that like SOS and make many other attachment.
By these , PI3K becomes activated and which activated protein kinase B and mTOR.
protein kinase B then phosphorylates many other protein like phosphodiesterase 3beta which then cleaves the cyclin Amp into 5' AMP and thus low activation of protein kinase A which finally reduces the lipolysis.
mTOR also show similar function but it mainly perform the glycolytic and gllycogenic pathway.
