COVID -19 or the novel corona virus is the pandemic declared by WHO from which whole world is still fighting,

corona virus is named due to its crown shaped structure in which it has spikes on the surface and as it is ALSO KNOWN AS SARS-COV2 ( severe acute respiratory syndrome ) which the pneumonia as a complication and affects the polmonary ventilation.

AS told to explain about the high risk group (HRG) peples then it is true that peoples whom are associated with diabetes cardiovuscular diseases and adrenal gland disorders are at high risk of covid-19

the reason behind this is the blood pressure is controlled by the adrenal gland and renin-angiotensin system in the body the and when it also stimulates the release of aldosteron from adrenal gland to retain sodium in kidney and maintain blood pressure .

angiotensin or renin-angiotensin system plays a major role in maintaining blood pressure and this virus covid19 or corona spike enter into a body and gets binds to angiotensin binding site which is turn alters the bp and then respiratory symptoms are seen when virulence got spread properly.

so due to binding on the angiotensin binding site by its spike protein it spreads itself im the body and in that turn angiotensin cannot bind to the site and result in didturbance and metabolic problems

so those who are endocrine related disorders patients are at high risk beacuse of hormonal imbalace

and in case of diabetes which is metabolic disorder or endocrine disorder due to pancreas there a high for such patients because pateint have low immunity in case of diabetes making the fight tough and second is virulence is more powerful in raised blood glucose level so these comes under endocrinology.
