The statement, "Make identifying and meeting finely targeted customer needs your objective and exceeding customer expectations your standard for success"- it means the business or any organizations first priority should be understanding how they can be useful for their customers. and the final result or outcome of the product or service should be beyond or above the customer expectation about the company.
Understanding the customers or market is the major need in order to provide any kind of product or service. The company focus on the creating the value for the customer, then they will always look on customers wish or desires before they focus on developing the next product in their R&D wing. Appropriate research & Development always begins with the good understanding about the customer. Any form of overconfidence and arrogance should never be communicated in order to represent themselves, but rather than this if service is good then service speaks itself. it allows the customer to say the good thing about the product or service rather than the promising the best but providing the worst solution. All organizations final goal is customer satisfaction
