Job structure development is dependent on a process of job evaluation. Explain this process.
Each and every job possess a proper structure which generally consists of a category which may be technical, management, operations, etc. and level of the job which depends upon the criticality that the job deals with and the role that a particular employee needs to play. The development of the job structure is quite dependent on Job evaluation, now the question is what is job evaluation, so job evaluation is the process by which the actual worth of a job is determined with the help of comparison, that is comparing one job with another and assessing the worth of that particular job , hence it is quite clear that the structure is actually dependent because if there is no comparison then the differences between the roles will not at all be determined. An organization needs to determine the key jobs of the organization and then each major job is divided in to sub factors which is already discussed depending upon the category and level of the job and employees also need to understand the differences between the roles they need to play.
