Expert Solution

Solution: A solution is a homogenous mixture of two or more substances whose composition can change within certain limits. A solution has two parts: solvent, present in major quantity and solute, present in minor quantity.

Binary solutions have only these two components: solvent and solute. Solutions can be gaseous solutions, liquid solutions or solid solutions.
