How does the concept of your product's (milk) sales depend on the characteristics of the good/service and market preferences and trends?
Milk and milk products are total foodstuff that provides nutritional quality and health status. The milk and milk products intake gives essential nutrients such as calcium; magnesium; protein; folate; vitamins A D, and E; and B1, B2, B6, B12. Since milk's characteristic of being a quality nutrition and acting as an investment in human capital that yields returns today and future thus plays a significant role in it's sale. The milk consumption also depends largely on demographic characteristics such as household composition, household size, gender of the household head and marital status highly impacts the patterns of consumption for milk and milk products. Moreover the market trends are important consideration in sale of milk. It is often assumed that the rise in human population, trends of urbanization and increase in household incomes will translate to substantial rise in the demand for products of livestock particularly milk.
