Solutions

Expert Solution

Blood is the functional liquid of human body. Which has many elements in it. It consists of different types of cells like while blood cells. Red blood cells. Platelets and plasma. It also consists various proteins like hemoglobin albumin etc, the main functions blood is transportation of nutrients, oxygen, antibodies, toxins, waste products, electrolytes to the body and away from the body.

1 RED BLOOD CELLS - this is one of the cell found in human body. It is a small oval shaped cell of average diameter of 6 micrometer and thickness of 2.5 micrometer. The normal life span of rbc is 120 days. It is produced by the bone marrow and spleen helps in the disintegration of RBC. Each rbc consists of many haemoglobin protein molecules which is hemic iron ioms this helps in carrying oxygen to the entire body.

2 WHITE BLOOD CELLS - white blood cells are another cell components of the blood. The main function of wbc is as a defense to the body or provide immune function to the body. It is acts by Phagocytosis that is by invading the pathogen that causes infection. There are different types of wbc like Neutrophils, Basophils, Eosinophils, Lymphocyte and Monocytes. This various wbc 's shows us the different targeted pathogens like eosinophils are increased when there is a allergic response. While Neutrophils are increased in case of bacterial infection and lymphocytes are increased in case of viral infection. The normal WBC count of healthy individual is between 4000 to 11000

3 PLATELETS this is another cell components of blood. Which helps in clotting of blood this causes prevention of bleeding it is the liver which meditates coagulation in human body. The average count of platelets are 1.5 lacs to 3 lacs cubic millimeter. It helps in Hemostatis

ALBUMIN albumin is a protein found in blood

Plasma which is produced by liver. It is water soluble protein the main function of serum albumin to maintain the Oncoitic pressure of blood plasma which will prevent the water molecules leakage from the blood. It compraises of 75 to 80℅ of blood plasma. It carries hormones enzymes and vitamins to the body lower albumin levels can lead to the third space fluid shift causing edema

43. The Memory Cells are a type of WBC, White Blood Cells that are formed from the leukocytes. They produce antibodies (proteins) that attack an intruder cell or virus. Such cell products are secreted from the cell through: a) facilitated transport, b) active transport, c) pinocytosis. d) transport through the cell membrane by a process termed exocytosis, e) all are true.
