Write about a paragraph or two about gun control.
Discuss the inherent logic and logical fallacies on both sides of gun control topic (do not pick one that you feel strongly about since you may not be able to separate your personal views from the analysis). Do not take a side in the discussion--just analyze the way each side argues its point (and the mistakes they may make).
Gun control consists of laws and policies governing the production, sales, alteration, possession and transmission of firearms. This especially holds true for civilians. Some countries tend to have strict rules concerning the owning or possession of such arms by civilians and have very little flexibility with regard to their usage. The ones who have the accessibility and legal permission/grant to engage in such use are provided with a license to do so. In 1990s, after such a bill was passed in Canada, it was reported that the rate of suicide and murder-related crimes had dropped down significantly. Some studies have however suggested that there is little or no association between the ownership of such arms and the rate of crime/suicide in a nation. Later it was reported through several analytical studies that among the youth, this may have significant drop, however in case of the overall suicide or crime rate, no such significant drop has been observed.
