Karl Marx was the German sociologist, historian, political theorist, economist and journalist.He was born on 5 May, 1818.Karl Marx has important contribution in the field of sociology. His theory of conflict theory, theory of communism,class theory and most important one Historical Materialism which relates development with history.

He wrote many philosophical books as well as other field books. He wrote Das Capital, The Communist Manifesto, Economic and Philosophic monument of 1844,The German ideology and many more.Karl Marx was the finest sociologist from whom other sociologists influences today.

The characteristics of Marxism philosophy are its materialism and its commitment to political practice as the end goal of all thought.

His philosophical idea of class struggle which result in workers taking power. He believed that no one should have power over another, that everyone should be equal, is very important.

Marxism is a set of political and economic ideas. The idea is that the world is divided into classes, the workers and the richer capitalists who exploit the workers, there is a class conflict that result in socialism and then communism.
