Requirements to be certified EHR:
Certified EHR must establish a structured format that helps the health professional to stores and transfer data efficiently. EHR must capture and share data as per the organization requirement. EHR system should assure the security and confidentiality of patient data. EHR must qualify in the incentive program.
What organizations provide certification for EHRs.
Certified EHR is regulated by the federal government through proper standards. Both the CMS and National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) provide certification for EHRs.
