Discuss the lymphatic tissues associated with the respiratory and digestive systems, include in your discussion the types of lymphatic tissue, lymphatic cells, their functions, and locations. What would happen if there were no related lymphatic tissues within these two systems?
Lymphatic Tissue- The lymphatic tissue consist of the lymphocytes and macrophages which are associated with the reticular fibre network. It takes place in the lamina propria which is the middle layer of the mucus membrane that line the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract.
TYPES OF LYMPHATIC TISSUE
There are two types of lymphatic tissue:-
a) Primary lymphatic tissue
b) Secondary lymphatic tissue
Primary lymphatic tissue includes thymus and bone marrow and secondary lymphatic tissue includes tonsils, lymph nodes, spleen.
LYMPHATIC CELLS- A white blood cell is the lymphocytes cells in the immune system. lymphocytes are generally develop from the lymphoblasts. The three types of lymphocytes cells are T cells, B cells and natural killer cells.
Function
1. It is helpful for the removal of interstitial fluid from the tissue.
2. It helps to absorps the fatty acid and fat as chyle from the digestive system.
3. Transportation of white blood cells from the lymph nodes to bones
Location- It is generally located in the lymph nodes, bone marrow, spleen, tonsils, heart, lungs, liver, intestine, skin contains lymphatic tissue.
If the lymphatic tissue does not work then the tissue, lymph fluid buildup in the body tissue and they makes swellings.
