According to functionalism, people in a society are interrelated and interdependent because of which they efficiently contribute to society. To maintain a dynamic equilibrium, every part of the society must work together. Education, Unemployment and poverty are all interrelated. Poor education leads to unemployment and unemployment leads to poverty and a poverty strike population cannot contribute to its society. Most of the social issues are all interrelated. Let's take unemployment for the matter, unemployment is the worst enemy of a nation. Employment helps a person identify his worth in a society and a stable income assures a healthy and happy life. A person who is employed and has a good source of income contributes effectively to society and nation by taking care of the bills and taxes showing his productivity. But when a person is unemployed he cannot be productive to himself let alone to the society which degrades one's living situation. With an increase in unemployment, there's a decrease in the economic stability of the USA which is damaging for the progress of a nation.
