1. SARS refers to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome which is caused by a zoonotic virus called SARS Coronavirus. It is a respiratory disease, which starts with flu, and myalgia leading to pneumonia.
2. Variola virus is a pathogenic virus of human that causes Small pox. The disease is characterized by small fluid filled blisters through out the body. It is highly contagious and can be fatal.
3. Bacillus thuringenesis is a bacteria that is widely used as a natural pesticides by farmers. During the stage of sporulation it produces a crystal protein which can be lethal to different species of moths.
4. Cellulose is a complex polysaccharide of D-glucose linked by Beta 1-4 linkage. It is the main sugar present in the cell walls of plants.
5. Ti plasmid or tumour inducing plasmid can be found in Agrobacterium tumefaciens which is responsible for inducing crown gall in plants. It has a particular region known as T DNA which can transfer genes to its host DNA.
