Tesla the global giant, is known world over for revolutionizing the way electric cars are driven and raising the bar to a completely different standard.
Tesla usually looks to hire people who can make a difference to the organization, who possess an extraordinary talent and that which might benefit the organization. The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, has said in various interviews that education is not a prerequisite for landing a job at tesla, which makes it clear that tesla believes in hiring the right talent and grooming them in order to make them the future leaders of the company.
Talking about the leadership team at Tesla, other than Elon Musk, all other leaders have served a long tenure with the company before becoming the leaders that they presently are. Tesla's CFO Mr. Zachary Kirkhorn, has worked with Tesla since 2010 in various roles in finance before assuming the chair of the CFO of the company. Mr. Jerome Guillen, President of automotive, has been with the company since 2007. These examples just prove the above point that Tesla believes in hiring the right talent and then grroming them to become the future leaders of tomorrow.
Coming to the diversity in their leadership, as of today, the board of Tesla has currently 9 directors on their board and 4 members in their leadership panel. Gender diversification is currently lacking amongst these members as all the members are males. There is however diversification on the basis of countries and ages present in the members/directors.
