What is a galvanic cell? What is an electrolytic cell? What is the difference between an electrolytic and galvanic cell?
galvanic cell --> the cell will provide electric current. It is a cell in which ther eis a reduction/oxidation and there is a flow of electrons across the cell. Typically an anode and cathode are present to favour forward direction. This is mainly used for electricity generation, such as the batteries in your cell phone, or remote control
electrolytic cell --> electric current must be provided. This are not spontanous, so the volt energy will help to favour a nonspontanous reaction. It is used for material production, mainly, such as Cu+2 + 2e- --> Cu(s) production
