Indicate the functions of the proximal convoluted tubule, the loop of Henle, the distal convoluted tubule, and the collecting ducts and how is the fluid passes through each one.
Function of Proximal convoluteed tubule
1. It is responsible for the secretion of different types of organic acids such as creatinine and other bases also include into the filterate.
2. It also regulates the pH by exchange the hydrogen ions in the interstitium for the bicarbonates ions in the filterate.
Function of the loop of henle
1. It helps in the recovery of water and sodium chloride from the urine.
Function of the distal convoluated tubule
1. The main function of the distal convoluated tubule is water reabsorption and also it absorbs many different types of ions.
Function of collecting ducts
1. It takes participate in electrolyte and fluid balance through the process of reabsorption and excretion which is regulated by hormones.
Process
1. Firstly, the longest part of the renal tubule is proximal convoluted tubule and then after that the loop of henle and it goes to the distal convoluted tubule then after that it collects into the collecting ducts.
