What do you think the Federal Government needs to do to minimize the bad impacts that result from Corporate activities? Remember, the Constitution gives the Federal Government the authority over interstate commerce, not the states.
How could those policies and regulations be structured to retain the benefits that come from Corporations
The Federal Government has the power to monitor and regulate the corporate activities so that any bad impact on the society and environment can be minimized. The Government is entitled to exercise regulations on the organizations to maintain the ecosystem. The Government may impose taxes and punitive measures on the corporates, if found to break any sustenance protocol. The Corporates also can utilize the CSR funds to improve the ecology of its surroundings. These are some of the ways, in which the bad impact of corporate activities can be minimized.
The policies and regulations need to be balanced to maintain the profits of the company as well as facilitate the ecosystem and sustainability. The regulations can be made extreme, based on the severity of the impact done by the business activity. For example: bans can be proposed on raw material if the ecology is getting polluted by plastic used in business activities.
