Compare and contrast the physiology of the human sexual response in the male and the female, including stimuli, nervous regulation, and effector targets. How are they similar and how are they different? How does this relate to reproductive developmental homology?
In both sexes the psyche is very important e.g thinking, dreaming, fantasizing about think of sexual nature enhances stage of sexual arousal.ultimately this all leads to orgasm in female and ejculation in male. The physiology of male erection depends upon the degree of sexual stimulation he is receving.stimulation is caused by parasympathtic impulses from sacral cord (S2,S3,S4) to the sexual organ.these same motor nervous innervate he ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus muscles. The result is that penile arterioles dilate and penile venulous constrict.this puts high blood flow into corpus spongiosum and corpora cavernosa.hence the sexual organ become erected.
The physiology of female sexual response depends upon degree of sexual response she is receiving. The erection is caused by parasympathetic from sacral cord to clitoris. The same motor nerves innervate the ischocavernosus muscle these same nervese cause retrat under cliotoral hood.result is that cliotoral arterioles dilate cliotoral venules constrict this puts high pressure of blood to corpora cavernosa. thus, cliot becomes erect and gives the feelings of sexual stimulation.
Smilarity in the physiology of sexual function in both sexes corrrlate with parallel to in.pathophysiolgy in both male and female sexual disorder. all sexual disfunction in male and female may have biological, motivational and cognitive cause.
There are many phenotypical differences between male and female of perticular species.these include heoght, weight, muscle tone, body mass etc.
