• A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. A teacher should be able to mix some imagination and theory in their teaching. School and college is not just about developing thereotical knowledge but its about developing life skills and overall personality development. As a teacher it is important to engage children in role plays,discussions in order to make them aware of their strengths and weaknesses and instill confidence in them to face the world. Introducing imagination exercises to widen the brain skills will help the children to see te various opportunities in the world that exist for them.
• Young children are not like other students. Their needs are unique and you must be aware of this.Great teachers are adaptable to the emotional reactions of their students. And when it comes to your students’ interactions with other children, this can be one of the first times they interact with children their age. A teacher’s role often becomes that of mediator when children have problems sharing or learning how to get along.
• As a teacher, one of the most important things you can do is lead by example. There’s no point in asking our students to be helpful and polite when we don’t hold the door open for others or we don’t say “Please” and “Thank you.” Being nice, kind and fair is something most of us do naturally but it’s important to remember, especially for teachers of young children, that our students are watching our every move. They are learning important lessons about how the world works by what they see. The same should be encouraged in parents as well.
