Ellen DeGeneres was biologically born a girl, as one grows there are certain feelings that develop within a person that he/she is in the wrong body. The girl will feel attracted to another girl like a normal boy would have got attracted to a girl or vice versa. They feel as if they are trapped in the wrong body that develops the feeling of confusion in them.

Ellen DeGeneres was from the same set of people, she was attracted to a girl named Sara Kettler and they were in a relationship. It was disclosed in 2007 by her.

Adolescence is the year of transition from childhood to adulthood this the period when the growing child goes through emotional, physical, and psychological change. The pituitary glands secrete luteinizing hormone (LH) and FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) into the bloodstream and the brain undergoes chemical changes. These changes are very confusing for the child. There is a spurt in the height and the body hair grows giving the feeling of adulthood.

During this period the girls get their menstruation and boys attend puberty. The attraction towards sex increases. During this period the adolescent takes impulse action without considering the consequences.

The research shows that the teenager has lesser activity in their frontal lobe associated with emotions. They show higher activity in the amygdala region that is pleasure hormones. That means they are more inclined to get pleasure but do not have control over their emotions that make them careless, and they are often seen driving at a higher speed without concerning the bad consequences of their actions.

This is a very crucial period in a child’s life as they have to decide what they want to do in their future life. This is the period when new ideas come into their mind. They know it is a temporary phase and as they grow they try to settle down taking the life seriously.
