SHOW WORK What is the dilution factor if you add 0.1 mL aliquot of a specimen to 9.9 mL of diluent?

Solutions

Expert Solution

dilution factor   = final volume / aliquot volume

fianl volume = aliquot volume + diluent volume

                       = 0.1 + 9.9

                        = 10 mL

dilution factor = 10 / 0.1

                      = 100

dilution factor = 1 : 100
