Leading a project:

• There are many things to be considered when we talk about appointing a project manager or team lead for the project. As it is one of the most important positions and responsibility if we look out from the project point of view and must also be taken care off.
• First and foremost things that must be there in a team lead are some certain points that are listed below:
  • Polite, Punctual & Helping nature
  • He must be a teamster and always there for the team. He must never think of himself but take the team along each and every decision he/she makes.
  • The leader must also be a good communicator so that he/she keeps the team bonded and work freely.
  • He/She must be an innovator and also be full of creativity so that there are no certain things left in case of the project completion.
• The roles that the leaders must meet in case of the project development are as follows:
  • Firstly they must keep the team bonded so that the team works collectively and no team member is being left out with less contribution to the team.
  • The next important role is to act as a team player and always help the team in case of any problems rather it be related to the project or anything in your comfort zone.
  • Next role is to always behave as the leader and always lead the team in case of any kind of situation so that they never feel like left out and helpless. Gathering and keeping the team bonded with similar thinking process will make it easy to create the project.
  • Taking brain-storming sessions and group discussions in order to enhance the quality of the product and getting the team bonded along with getting the team to think innovatively and more involved in the project must be the task here.
• For example, suppose we pick up a project of developing a certain management system for a big company and the project is huge so we gather a team of 10 people and searching out the person for a team leader. I would suggest giving these 10 people a chance to prove that they can be great leaders and make a team leader among the selected 10.
• This will help the team leader be already groomed with the team members which will give a boost up to the project and this must be the strategy on selecting the team leader.
