Describe an advertisement or provide a copy of an advertisement for each of the two brands(nike and adidas), and use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to identify the consumer need that this advertisement wants to trigger. Explain your selection with facts.
This advertisement copy of Nike company triggering two needs Basic pyschological need and safety needs.
Pyschological is the basic need defined by Mashlow . This need is at bottom level which state that people are motivated to fufill thier basic needs. Just like clothing, Shoes especially comfortable shoes which feels like air satisfy that basic need.
safety need is the 2nd level need which state that people feel are motivated to keep themselves safe and secure. The Nike advertisement of this shoe state stronger than steel means it uses technology and material which make such shoes durable, strong and protect feet of consumer.
This ad by adidas trigger psychological need just like Nike. Consumer who are in need to finding shoe which are comfortable and light in weight must be triggered to purchase it.
This ad also trigger ego need because adidas by selling the lightest shoe in the market shows status and symbol of ego in consumer who would purchase it. Adidas is also one of the premium shoe brand.
